The one-week Youth Learn to Row camps are the perfect introduction to rowing for youth ages 12-17. During the week, campers will learn to the proper technique to safely and efficiently row on ergometers (indoor rowing machines), learn about rowing equipment and how to transport boats onto the water, and of course, to row! Each day, campers will finish off with lunch and a debrief with coaching staff and experienced rowers to answer questions and get a better understanding of the basic skills needed to be successful on the water.
As with any sport, the more experience you get, the better you will perform. If you want to join the competitive team in the fall, a rowing camp is not required, but will certainly provide a leg-up. By registering for two camps at one time, you will receive a $10 discount on the two weeks. And, if you really want to maximize the camp experience, you may attend a race with the competitive youth and adults for an additional fee.
All camp sessions will be 9am-1pm M-F.
