Recreational Rowing: Monthly Programs
Coming soon–Our recreational rowing program is intended to further introduce newer rowers to the sport. Through coached sessions, rowers will continue to develop proper technique, build stamina and strength. Select from either one practice a week or two practices a week based on your interest and availability.

Great Miami Rowing Center offers several opportunities to learn about the sport of rowing. For youth, these include Information Nights and Learn to Row sessions.
Competitive Rowing: Beginners Welcome
Beginners are also welcome to join our competitive teams.* Rowers in 5th through 8th grade are welcome to join the Junior Varsity team, and those in 9th to 12th grade the Varsity team. Our competitive teams offer the chance to compete throughout the country at a variety of regattas, primarily in the spring and fall. Athletes will continue to build strength, stamina, and speed through a variety of land and water training sessions throughout the year.
- There are no tryouts to join.
- The Junior Varsity team meets 3 nights a week; the Varsity team practices 5 days a week.
- Training is at the Great Miami River in Downtown Hamilton from March through November (weather and river conditions permitting).
- Athletes train in our indoor gym in December through February to maintain strength and endurance.
- The Varsity Team competes in 3-5 regattas each season; the JV team participates in 1 scrimmage each season.

*To participate in our competitive programs, you will need a Basic Individual or Learn-To-Row membership in USRowing.
